This is a great social game that was developed by McKinney for the Urban Ministries of Durham (UMD). In the turn based game you play as a person that is on the verge of homelessness, who is trying to get through a month with their last $1,000.
When you get really low on money at various points in the game, you are able to ask your friends for help/virtual-cash through Facebook. This is a cool little twist that should make the game a bit more viral. It also does a great job of teaching you about the challenges that these people face without making it feel like a bad piece of edu-tainment. Well done.
